Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced LDRP RN (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Registered Nurse) for a travel assignment in a critical access hospital setting. This role requires a seasoned nurse who is proficient in various aspects of obstetric care, including triage, labor, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care.

Shift Details

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Weekends: Required, evenly distributed among staff
On-call: Not required

Key Responsibilities

Triage obstetrical patients
Provide care during labor and delivery
Manage postpartum care for mothers and newborns
Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
Circulate for C-sections and perform sterile vaginal exams
Assist with IV starts and answering phones when not providing direct patient care

Patient Care Information

Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:6 depending on the unit requirements
Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Adults
Daily Census: 2 patients
Unit Details: 3 labor and delivery rooms

Qualifications

Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years in labor and delivery nursing
Certifications: BLS, NRP, CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor), Stable certification preferred
Charting System Experience: Epic
Travel Experience: Required

Holiday Coverage Requirements

Candidates must be willing to work the following holidays:

1 winter holiday (scheduled in pairs: Thanksgiving + Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas + Christmas Eve, New Year's + New Year's Eve)
1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day)

Additional Information

Orientation Hours: 24 hours
Expectations: Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
Communication: If required, communication devices will be provided at no cost.
