Bridgeport Mill Machinist

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Bridgeport Mill Machinist to work with a leading manufacturing company in Armada. This role focuses on precision manual milling operations and supporting high-quality part production in a professional machining environment.

Shift:

• 6:00am to 3:00pm Monday-Friday

• Overtime as needed during the week and on some Saturdays

Pay Rates:

• 27.00 - 30.00 USD hourly

Essential Requirements for Bridgeport Mill Machinist:

• Ability to set up and operate Bridgeport mills to machine parts to precise dimensions and tolerances.

• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements and machining sequences.

• Ability to inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.

• Ability to perform lathe and turning work and apply precision grinding skills to support machining, finishing, and tight-tolerance requirements across production.

Desirable Requirements for Bridgeport Mill Machinist:

• Perform basic lathe or turning work to support additional machining operations when needed.

• Operate surface or bench grinders for finishing, sharpening, or precision tolerance work.

• Precision grinding skills to support machining, finishing, and tight-tolerance requirements across production.

Role Responsibilities for Bridgeport Mill Machinist:

• Set up and operate Bridgeport mills to machine parts to precise dimensions and tolerances.

• Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine machining requirements, tooling, and sequence of operations.

• Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.

• Maintain machine performance through routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.

• Work with various metals such as steel, aluminum, and stainless while selecting proper feeds and speeds.
