Job Description - DBA


We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for managing, maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and production support for critical business applications.
The candidate should possess hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar enterprise database platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain database environments.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning recommendations to improve efficiency.
• Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Perform database upgrades, patching, and migration activities.
• Ensure database availability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance issues.
• Implement high-availability and replication solutions.
• Support production deployments and release management activities.
• Develop and maintain database standards, policies, and documentation.
• Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Perform capacity planning and storage management.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Required Technical Skills

• Strong Database Administration experience (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)
• Database Performance Tuning and Optimization
• Backup and Recovery Management
• High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
• Database Security and Access Management
• SQL Query Optimization
• Database Monitoring and Troubleshooting
• Linux/Unix and Windows Server Administration
• Production Support and Incident Management
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Cloud Databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL)
• Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Always On Availability Groups
• Database Automation and Scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python)
• DevOps and CI/CD integration
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Data Replication and Database Migration Projects
