Location: San Jose, CA | Schedule: 1st shift, 8:30am to 5pm | Pay: $21/hour 

 

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading electronics manufacturing company to hire a dedicated Tooling Technician . As a Tooling Technician, you'll play a key role in preparing components for the anodizing process by setting up and operating racking stations, ensuring products are properly secured, and helping maintain efficient production flow. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly impact product performance and customer satisfaction. 

What You'll Do  

As a Tooling Technician, your day will include: 

• Setting up, operating, and tending racking stations to prepare aluminum components for anodizing. 

• Securing aluminum parts to racks according to detailed specifications to ensure quality processing. 

• Reading blueprints, work orders, production schedules, and job instructions to determine production requirements. 

• Assembling, aligning, clamping, and positioning workpieces in holding fixtures. 

• Laying out, fitting, and connecting components while calculating production measurements as needed. 

• Selecting, positioning, aligning, and securing jigs, fixtures, guides, and stops using measuring instruments and hand tools. 

• Monitoring production equipment and making adjustments to resolve routine operational issues. 

• Preparing metal surfaces using grinders, cutters, drills, and other hand-operated equipment. 

• Cleaning, lubricating, maintaining, and adjusting equipment to support efficient operations. 

• Safely transferring components, assemblies, and metal products throughout the production area. 

• Recording production and operational data accurately. 

• Removing finished workpieces from production equipment. 

• Supporting teammates and assisting other departments as production needs require. 

• Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work area. 

What We're Looking For  

Required Qualifications  

• High school diploma or GED equivalent. 

• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or production experience . 

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documentation. 

• Experience using measuring instruments and hand tools. 

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. 

• Ability to perform repetitive work with accuracy while maintaining production quality. 

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills. 

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
