Automotive Billing Clerk

Billing ClerkSchumacher Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely billing for sales and service transactions, and to manage the dealerships AR. This includes processing invoices and other billing documents accurately and efficiently, verifying the accuracy of billing information, resolving any discrepancies or errors, and communicating with customers to resolve billing-related issues or answer questions.WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Dealership experience is a MustAutomotive Accounting: 2+ yearsExperience with submitting RebatesAutomotive experience with preferably CDK knowledgeHigh School Diploma requiredPreferred Education: Post-Secondary education in accounting, finance or related fieldAccounting knowledge; solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices, including bookkeeping and financial reportingExperience with accounting software and spreadsheet programs like MS ExcelStrong experience using computers; proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other tools to manage financial records and transactionsRequirementsEnsuring that all deal information is entered correctly into the accounting and dealerships software systemsVerifying the accuracy of the posting information and resolving any discrepanciesMaintain organized and accurate billing records and filing systemsBilling deals for trade-ins and payoffs; pull commissions on warranties and products; create trade folders to get paid off; check vehicle information in Title Tec; check inventory in CDK to ensure money for RO and cost on Recap is the cost in CDK; compute commissions based on costs; book deal and postProcess payoffs from purchases (KBB)CIT (Contracts in Transit); check for payments from customers that are not immediately deposited into the bank account; review the CIT records to ensure that all payments have been properly accounted forEFT (Electronic Fund Transfer); ensure payment is processed accurately and the funds are received in a timely manner; reconcile the payment with the dealership's accounting recordsResponsible for maintaining used vehicle inventory schedule, tracking adjustments such as ROs reconciling accounts; review schedules to ensure they are accurate and up to dateEnsure We-Owe Payoffs have been properly processed and that all necessary documentation has been completed; check for any balances owed on the vehicle that needs to be paid offCash Clearing to ensure that all cash received has been properly recorded, deposited with no discrepanciesOther duties or projects as assigned by Management.JOIN OUR Schumacher Family!Schumacher Auto Group of the Palm Beaches opened its doors in 1971 starting with Schumacher Buick.
