Ennis, Inc. is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk at our corporate office in Midlothian, TX. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our customer finance team. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is beginning a career in accounting and wants to gain hands-on experience with payment processing, account reconciliation, and customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately post customer payments
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collection efforts.
• Research payment discrepancies.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Assist with daily cash application and payment processing.
• Communicate with internal departments and customers to resolve billing issues.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business is a plus.
• Previous accounting is helpful but not required .
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic understanding of mathematics and accounting principles.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other office software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial information.
• Willingness to learn accounting systems and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JDEdwards ERP system.
• Previous customer service, administrative, or data-entry experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounts receivable processes.
