Accounts Payable Assistant

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to support daily vendor transactions, invoice processing, expense report review, and month-end closing activities. This role works closely with the Accounting Department, suppliers, department administrators, and international Branches to ensure accurate processing and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities

• Code invoices to general ledger accounts and cost centers, perform three-way matching, and process vendor transactions.
  
• Reconcile system reports, verify entries, and investigate purchase order, contract, invoice, and payment discrepancies.
  
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and maintain accurate vendor account records.
  
• Review and process employee credit card and out-of-pocket expense reports for compliance with company policies.
  
• Record electronic funds transfer (EFT) debit transactions and manage recurring payments, leases, and payment schedules.
  
• Calculate applicable sales and use taxes on goods and services.
  
• Generate reports, verify data entry, and assist with month-end closing activities.
  
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding expenses and provide support to department administrators.
  
• Maintain organized filing systems and ensure records are archived and disposed of according to company guidelines.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and update desk procedures as needed.
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
• Minimum of two years of accounts payable experience, including invoice coding and batch processing.
  
• Experience reviewing and processing corporate credit card and/or employee expense reports.
  
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
  
• Ability to research discrepancies, communicate professionally, and manage competing priorities.
  

Pay Details: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
