Commercial Litigation Associate (Mid-Level)

Job Overview Venable LLP’s Commercial Litigation DC/Virginia Group seeks a mid‑level associate with a minimum of three years of experience to join the team in the Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in handling commercial disputes across a variety of industries and legal subject matters. Responsibilities Manage litigation workflow, including deadlines, filings, and multiple workstreams across matters. Draft motions, briefs, and written discovery. Participate in depositions and large litigation as a mid‑level associate. Work collaboratively in a team setting, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. Dedicate to professional development and continuous learning. Qualifications Minimum of three years of experience in a law firm litigation practice. Strong legal writing and analytical skills. Some deposition and large litigation experience as a mid‑level associate. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, admitted to and in good standing with the D.C. Bar. Please include law school transcripts with submissions. Salary The salary range for associate positions is $215,000 to $355,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials, and performance.
