LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Bookkeeper for a contract to hire opportunity in Virginia Beach, VA.
Professional Experience Needed:
- 4 years + of experience in Accounts Payable processing, including purchase orders, bills received/entry into software, paying bills and recording vendor payments to software
- 1099 preparation experience
- 4 years + of experience in Accounts Receivable processing, including estimates, invoicing, credit memos, and customer/client payments received posted to software
- 4 years + experience in Payroll processing/payroll tax return preparation
- Calculating employee deductions for benefits, including insurance and retirement plans
- Calculating time and overtime hours efficiently
- Payroll tax payment processing
- Payroll tax return preparation
- 4 years + of experience in Banking & Reconciliation processes – posting banking transactions for multiple accounts
- Reconciling bank accounts within software, addressing outstanding items
- 4 years + of experience in Credit Cards & Reconciliation processes – posting credit card transactions for multiple cards
- Reconciling accounts within software, addressing outstanding items
- 4 years + of experience in General Ledger Review & Financial Statement Preparation
- Month/Quarter end closings for financial statements
- Review accounts for accuracy
- Pinpoint issues/mis postings
- Adjusting journal entries preparation
- Working with client/team member to resolve issues
- Prepare/Review Profit & Loss
- Prepare/Review Balance Sheet
- 4 years + in public accounting a plus
Software Experience Preferred (Working Knowledge):
- QuickBooks Online/Desktop (at least 4 years' experience)
- QBO certification a plus
- Troubleshoot QuickBooks software issues
- Microsoft Office Suite – proficiency in programs including:
- Excel
- Word
- Outlook
- Teams
- Bill.com – Third Party AP Platform
Other Experience:
- Multi-tasking a must, several clients/business types any given day
- Great communication skills
- Team members communicate daily
- Works well in team environment
- Communicating with clients regarding various accounting related issues, missing information, video conferencing, etc.
- Work with various points of contact for clients via phone, email etc.

- Vendors
- Open to travel to clients when needed (local only)
$52,000.00 to $60,000.00 per hour
