Description:

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a primary resource for employees and supervisors regarding day-to-day human resources matters and is responsible for the administration and coordination of a broad range of HR programs and processes. This position has primary responsibility for attendance administration, performance review administration, employee data and HRIS maintenance, leave administration, accommodations paperwork, payroll issue resolution, benefits support, internal job postings, transfers, wage changes, and general employee support. This position also partners with HR leadership on employee relations, investigations, accommodations, HR reporting, departmental initiatives, and other matters requiring additional review or oversight. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and supervisors regarding routine HR questions, policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.

· Administer the company's attendance program, including attendance monitoring, point tracking, routine attendance-related disciplinary actions, and supporting documentation.

· Conduct initial fact gathering for employee relations matters and investigations, including reviewing available information and camera footage when appropriate.

· Maintain accurate and confidential documentation related to employee relations matters.

· Provide HR support and availability for employees working on night shift.

· Administer the performance review process, including preparing and distributing review documents, tracking completion, and processing applicable payroll updates.

· Process employee transfer requests and maintain required supporting documentation.

· Process wage tier increases and ensure applicable employee and payroll information is accurately updated.

· Create and administer internal job postings and maintain related documentation throughout the posting and selection process.

· Complete new-hire data entry and maintain employee information within Paylocity, Global Shop, and other applicable company systems.

· Provide employees with support and assistance related to Paylocity questions and system use.

· Research payroll discrepancies and coordinate resolution of payroll-related issues.

· Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.

· Ensure employee changes and applicable HR transactions are entered and processed accurately and timely.

· Administer and track FMLA and Short-Term Disability (STD) leaves and respond to employee questions regarding applicable processes and documentation.

· Maintain accommodation documentation and tracking records and coordinate required paperwork.

· Communicate with employees and appropriate internal resources regarding documentation, status, and administrative requirements associated with leaves and accommodations.

· Serve as a primary resource for routine employee benefits questions.

· Act as a liaison with the company's benefits broker to research questions, address employee concerns, and assist with benefit-related issues.

· Provide employees with timely and professional HR support and direct more complex matters to the appropriate HR leadership when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred.

Certifications: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred, but not required

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources role required. Experience supporting multiple areas of Human Resources. Manufacturing HR experience preferred.

Reading Ability: Must be able to read and understand English

· Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications.

· Ability to effectively support employees and operations across multiple shifts.
