We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.Job SummaryWorking independently to perform high-level financial reporting, analysis and forecasting of Neuroscience clinical trials; under general supervision from the Administrative Director of the Center of Neuroscience Clinical Trials (CNCT) and the Neurosciences Administrative Directors of Research Finance. This role will be responsible for providing independent and accurate support to physician clinical trialists by monitoring deadlines, collecting, summarizing, and consolidating data, allocating variances, analyzing and interpreting data, making comparative analyses, explaining data and assumptions, researching and correcting variance problems, assembling and analyzing historical financial data, and explaining data and assumptions. This position demands a high level of responsibility with minimal supervision, great communication and customer service skills, and excellent prioritization. The right candidate will be a professional, thoughtful, and responsive leader and agile decision-maker maneuvering a fast-paced, complex academic medical environment.Essential Functions (Key Roles & Responsibilities):Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.Prepare and assist with grant application submissions.Track key performance indicators, prepare financial reports and sometimes present them.Create ad-hoc reports and perform financial analysis.Assists project teams with financial guidance.Reviews financial reporting and ensures data integrity to enable management decisions.Ensures compliance with financial guidelines, company policies and regulations.-Maintain familiarity with sponsors and Mass General Brigham Research -Management policies and procedures.-Maintain working knowledge of federal Human Subjects System (HSS) and -Clinical Trials.gov to assist with entry and troubleshooting of clinical trials and human subjects data.Prepare contract requests and billing agreements as needed in coordination with Research Finance; assist with contract billing and receivables.Verify research compliance with specific areas (human subjects research, cost shares, travel policies).Process research financial transaction activities (Check Requests), supply purchasing (eBuy), and submit and track participant stipends (Advarra/eCheck).Reconcile payments received with internal systems (OnCore/Insight) and ensure timely collection and reconciliation of Industry sponsored payments.Ensure timely, compliant closeout of all expiring projects within portfolio.Work with MGB Research Management and the Clinical Trials Office (CTO).Work with clinical research coordinators, faculty, and Finance and Administration to manage joint grants, resources, and subcontracts.Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned (e.g. participation in formal internal audits).QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree Related Field of Study requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?NoLicenses and CredentialsExperienceExperience in accounting or finance 3-5 years required Experience in a role within a large healthcare organization 3-5 years preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong written and oral communication skills.Strong attention to detail and organization.Good analytical and mathematical skills.Superior Excel Skills is required.Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data.Additional Job Details (if applicable)Physical RequirementsRemote TypeHybridWork Location15 Francis StreetScheduled Weekly Hours40Employee TypeRegularWork ShiftDay (United States of America)Pay Range$63,648.00 - $90,750.40/AnnualGrade6At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
