Position Overview GISI CG Corporate is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Accountant , with primary responsibility for assisting with the monthly close process, consolidation and reporting activities, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and related processes. This position is responsible for maintaining robust internal controls, supporting the external audit processes, and driving key accounting initiatives throughout the organization. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams—including Operating Company and Parent Company Finance teams, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax—this position will ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports in compliance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of postgraduate experience working for the Big 4. This role needs someone proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical, who excels in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement , and possesses strong technical expertise paired with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Location This position is based out of GISI’s New York, NY office, 4 days a week (M-Th) to start. Applicants must have current and future work authorization in the United States as visa sponsorship cannot be provided at this time. Reporting This role will report directly to the VP of Corporate Finance, with additional supervision from SVP of Global Finance. Job Duties / Responsibilities Record journal entries for the GISI CG corporate (HoldCo) books and perform related account reconciliations Check and finalize consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, including integration of new businesses Assist with preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements including Balance Sheet and Statements of Income, Equity Statement, Comprehensive Income, and Cash Flow Maintain the general ledger and trial balance, ensuring all entries are complete, accurate, and properly supported Assist with preparation of financial footnotes and support other external reporting requirements Support the accounts payable process and ensure proper accounting treatment Contribute to accounting-related projects and system enhancements Build and generate ad hoc reports using consolidation/accounting systems Collaborate cross-functionally to support financial planning, integration, and analysis Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation is preferred 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 audit experience and exposure to consolidated reporting in a multi-entity business environment Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint Core Skills Strong ability to meet deadlines with high attention to detail and accuracy Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills Influential and adaptable, with the ability to engage leaders and drive performance through change Desired Criteria Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, OneStream) What We Offer Compensation: Approx $100,000 Base Above industry performance-based bonuses A collaborative culture that values innovation, integrity, and impact EEO Statement GISI CG is an equal opportunity employer.
