Clerical Support Manager, Pain Consultants

Job Summary The Clerical/Support Manager at North Mississippi Health Services plays a crucial role in managing all non‑clinical functions within the clinic. They lead clerical staff, providing training and scheduling, and ensure efficient clinic operations. The role also coordinates clinical documentation, utilizes EMR systems for patient records, and maintains budget awareness to optimize productivity. Management The Manager maintains responsibility for leading clerical staff and ensuring productive operations within the designated department or area. Job Functions Manages all non‑clinical functions within the clinic. Trains, orients, and educates clerical staff on all job duties and responsibilities and evaluates staff competencies. Manages clerical staff schedules and time‑off requests. Performs other clinic‑specific duties as assigned by the Practice Manager. Leads clerical staff to ensure efficient day‑to‑day clinic operations. Attends/Leads huddles and staff meetings. Coordinates handling of clinical documentation to ensure timeliness and compliance with regulatory and licensing agencies. Utilizes EMR systems to ensure accuracy of patient records and other pertinent data. Maintains budget awareness and, together with the Practice Manager, endeavors to provide cost‑effective operation of the clinic. Ensures adequate staffing coverage of clerical/support operations to maintain and maximize productivity and outcomes. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree in Business or related field. (Required) Work Experience 4–6 years of experience. Willing to accept 3 years of management experience in lieu of degree. (Required) Previous office management and home health experience. (Preferred) Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated management and analytical skills. Excellent organizational skills. Positive and capable image toward office staff, physicians, and the public. Performs essential functions with minimal supervision. Ability to work efficiently and responsibly when faced with multiple demands and short time frames. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact appropriately with staff, patients/families, physicians, and the public we serve. Physical Demands Standing – occasionally.
