Veterinary Hospital Manager

Cat Care Professionals is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Manager with strong emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for developing people and building strong teams. The ideal candidate brings experience leading and mentoring teams, creating and implementing effective SOPs, and delivering an exceptional client experience. This is an opportunity for a thoughtful, people-focused leader who can balance team culture with operational excellence and help drive the hospital forward. As our Hospital Manager, you’ll work closely with the Medical Director and leadership team, taking ownership of daily operations and guiding our hospital toward continued success. Key Responsibilities Include: Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions. Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures. Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships. Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives. Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth. Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Schedule, benefits and compensation**: This is a full-time, salaried position and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs. Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 annual base salary Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performance Hiring bonus package: $2000 based on credentials CE allowance: up to $1,000 based on credentials Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k with match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Your Qualifications: 3+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required. Veterinary hospital management experience strongly preferred; medical, dental, or healthcare practice management experience also considered. Bachelor's degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams. Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficient with business software and able to adapt quickly to new systems. What makes us unique? This is a good-faith estimate based on the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
