Senior DevOps EngineerFidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.The RoleAs a Senior DevOps Engineer on the DevOps and Automation Engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and collaborate with engineers across Fidelity in a fun and dynamic environment. In this role, you will work with a team of technologists passionate about building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud platforms, monitoring solutions, and DevOps best practices. You will play a key role in improving software delivery processes, enhancing system reliability, and driving automation initiatives that enable efficient and scalable technology solutions.The Expertise and Skills You Bring5 plus years of software engineering, configuration management and release engineering for large scale enterprise applications.5 or more years of experience in a DevOps/Engineering role.Experience with performing version control and continuous integration of build, deploy, and test, using tools like Jenkins, Stash and uDeployStrong understanding of CI / CD Processes, and experience with tools like Jenkins.Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines & multi branch pipelines from the scratch.Understanding of container technologies and orchestrators like Docker & Kubernetes.Understanding of different build tools and package managers for different programing languages, e.g. Maven/Mvn, Gradle, Npm, pipExperience with git (and implementations like bitbucket/gitlab/GitHub), and with repositories such as Artifactory.Developer oriented mindset with ability to design automations to solve problems and create solutions - Proficient in scripting languages such as Groovy, Shell, Python and/or similar languagesAbility to understand the complete development flow and make recommendations on changes or improvements to the development teams, Testing Stages, Coverage Reports, Quality Gates, Security Scans, Environment PromotionsUnderstanding different components of an application Database/Mid-tier/Messaging/User-Interface/ConfigurationExperience with core AWS Services and ability to build automated processes using SDK or CLI.Nice To HaveExperience with Kubernetes for large scale enterprise services.Knowledge of Datadog or other logging, observability, monitoring or APM tool.The Purpose of Your RoleYou will be in-charge of owning our CI/CD pipeline through lower development environment's all the way to production. You will review, analyze, and recommend solutions and tools to improve the software development process all while maintaining existing build processes and leading the design and implementation of their replacement. You will be an integral part of the overall product release process.The Skills You BringAbility to review, analyze and recommend solutions and tools to improve the software development and CI/CD process.Develop and support the Continuous Integration process, innovating where needed for solutions that are adaptable to current issues.Ability to create readable and detailed documentation to explain flows, architectural diagrams, or processes.Trace complex CI/CD scenarios, release issues and environment issues in a multi-component environment.Develop, maintain, and enhance key parts of the release procedures and processes.
