Job Summary As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age‑appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. Requirements Telemetry experience required Peds/PICU/NICU experience required 2+ years of experience required RN License in Maryland or Compact State (as applicable) Additional Requirements – Pediatric Float Roles Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Stable within 6 months of hire Chemo/biotherapy provider course within 6 months of hire Preferred: Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – Pediatric or Neonatal Additional Requirements – Critical Care Float Roles Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire Float Pool staff will follow a 6‑week schedule and a weekend obligation of 4 shifts, 3 major holidays, and 2 difficult‑to‑staff days required. All staff are eligible for shift incentives once flex obligations have been met.
