Supervisor, Imaging

Position Overview Integrates activities and resources of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, comprising Radiology, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography, MRI, Mammography, PET, and office support. Assists the department manager in providing overall leadership and management of the Radiology/Imaging Department, specifically Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and Anesthesia RNs. Promotes excellent patient care, cost-effective use of material and human resources, and professional growth and job satisfaction for staff. Maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Responsible for the daily operations of the picture archiving and communication system (PACS). Coordinates PACS services with other departments, physicians, and their office staff, communicating system changes and upgrades to users. Directly supervises technologists, monitors ongoing performance improvement, conducts staff in-service and competency testing, and assigns staff and workload respecting changing priorities.
