Job Title: Research Faculty – Psychiatry & Behavioral Health (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department: Medicine | Psychiatry Responsibilities Serve as Principal Investigator or Co‑Investigator on sponsored research grants and original research projects. Conceptualize, plan, design, implement, and conduct research studies in Psychiatry, Neuroscience, and Behavioral Health. Develop and write grant proposals to secure NIH R01 or equivalent funding. Publish research in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed scientific journals. Present research at national and international conferences, building a scholarly reputation. Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellow trainees. Participate in division, department, college, and university committees and initiatives. Qualifications Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D.) with specialization in Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, or related field from an accredited program. Licensed to practice in Ohio by the time of appointment (if holding a clinical degree). Ph.D. candidates without clinical training may be considered if they demonstrate a commitment to training clinicians. Demonstrated record of external research funding, including experience leading or significantly contributing to grant projects. Expertise in randomized clinical trial designs or personalized treatment approaches is highly desirable. Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed journals. Experience mentoring trainees at multiple levels.
