Medical Billing & Collections Representative (ONSITE) Sugarland, Texas Job Category: Administrative/Support Requisition Number: MEDIC001946 Location: 14141 Southwest Freeway, Suite 300, Sugarland, TX 77478 Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Position Summary Medical Billing and Collections Representative responsible for managing delinquent medical accounts and ensuring timely resolution. Key tasks include helping patients with payment arrangements, addressing account disputes, collaborating with insurance companies, performing skip tracing to locate missing payments, and maintaining accurate account records. A professional, respectful demeanor is essential when interacting with patients and colleagues. Responsibilities Manage and resolve overdue medical accounts. Assist patients with payment arrangements and disputes. Re-bill insurance companies as needed. Maintain accurate account records. Collaborate with billing teams and insurance companies. Qualifications High school diploma / GED. 1-2 years experience in call center/collections operations in a healthcare field. Knowledge of insurance collection processes, including verification of insurance and follow up activities to get claims paid. Requirements Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet goals. Experience with medical billing software is a plus. Previous collections or customer service experience preferred.
