Entry Level HVAC/R Service Technician - Commercial & Industrial

Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues and guide junior technicians. Repair and overhaul compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds customer expectations. Handle refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors. Execute preventative maintenance activities by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies. Maintain proper truck inventory continuously and drive company vehicles safely. Qualifications High school diploma or GED, plus equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes. Pass Tech Skills level 2 with an 80% or better. Valid EPA certificate. 0–2 years of experience in construction HVAC, refrigeration, or related industry with chiller experience. Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems. Knowledge of hand and power tools, refrigeration equipment and piping, and computer‑controlled systems. Ability to read and understand refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing blueprints. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Ability to pump down all refrigeration systems and reclaim refrigerant from all types of systems. Good communication, presentation skills, and excellent customer service. Ability to understand and follow all company policies, procedures, and all applicable State and Federal laws. Proficiency with typical business tools including E‑Mail, Word, Excel, etc. Benefits Competitive compensation: $20.00 to $30.00 DOE.
