Job Title

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear
• Follow established work procedures to minimize rework and scrap
• Prepare parts for painting or powder coating by sanding down units and/or masking units
• Apply paint or protective coatings to a variety of sized parts using a spray gun
• Conduct quality inspections on products and parts
• Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Uphold the company core values
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing working with painting or powder coating
• Experience with HVLP or conventional spray guns
• Experience using calipers and measuring thickness of parts
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to work well in teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position
• Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision
• Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
