Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty License: Compact or state license in hand upon submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, TNCC Must-Have: Epic experience, previous charge experience preferred Description: Please ensure traveler is aware of the expectations of the role. The unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" during emergency events. There will be an expectation to remain at the facility until the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details regarding compensation for each emergency event will be communicated as they vary. By accepting this travel position, you acknowledge these responsibilities. This role is not suitable for individuals uncomfortable with emergency situations. Candidates must be available to work during two of four holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Holiday assignments will be based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation. The patient ratio is 1:4. Charting system experience with Epic is required. First-time travelers will not be accepted. Scrub color is royal blue. The unit will require weekend coverage. Pre-approved time off is not permitted. The facility does not accept local travelers and applicants must live over 65 miles from the facility. References are not required for submission, but two Manager/Supervisor references will be required prior to starting. NURSYS reports for RNs must be submitted with the profile and should be up to date within four weeks. Resources who worked as in-house staff must wait one full year before returning as travel staff. Modules may be billable and will be completed during the orientation period.
