Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An interim leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to oversee pharmacy services at a 250-bed hospital in Northern California. This contract role requires a proactive, results-driven professional ready to start ASAP and manage pharmacy operations efficiently over a 3 to 6-month assignment.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading daily pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital standards.
- Managing pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative environment, and promoting professional development.
- Overseeing medication dispensing processes to guarantee accuracy and patient safety.
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy management.
- Implementing operational improvements that enhance service delivery and workflow efficiency.
- Ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and resource allocation.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Proven leadership experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacy Operations Manager, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary pharmacy team.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Location: Northern California, within a 250-bed hospital facility.
This position is a contract assignment with a duration of 3 to 6 months, ideal for pharmacy professionals ready to step into a vital managerial role and make an immediate impact.
