Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift

Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (Phlebotomist)

Location: Southbury, CT
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 3 Months

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for collecting blood specimens, processing samples for laboratory testing, and providing excellent patient service. This role requires accurate specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to safety, quality, and confidentiality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws (including pediatric and geriatric patients).
• Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow safety, quality, and compliance procedures.
• Deliver professional customer service and maintain a positive patient experience.
• Work independently while meeting productivity and accuracy standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred).
• Customer service and data entry/keyboard experience required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as needed.
