Tech - Safety

Total Safety is looking for a Safety Technician to add to their safety‑conscious team. Must have a current TWIC card. Perform annual fit testing. Complete airline training and annual requalification. Conduct fall protection inspections. Distribute chemical and regular PPE. Sign out cascades of air. Create ear mold impressions and perform fit testing. Maintain gas detection equipment (fix sensors and manage signing). Make and maintain spill kits. Service and maintain eye wash stations. Manage FR clothing orders for Shell. Clean and repair Total Safety breathing air rental equipment. Manage other Total Safety rental equipment. Perform Shell field inspections and other tasks. Manage Shell's permit‑to‑work inventory in safety store and vending machines. Assist site emergency response team with specific job tasks. Manage site electrical gloves. Position responsibilities: Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries. Clean, inspect, and service safety equipment. Fill breathing air cylinders. Issue safety equipment to customers. Build positive customer relationships. Restock inventory and maintain accurate counts. Abide by specific customer contract agreements. Be on call as needed—OT, night shift, and weekends may be required. Perform other related duties as required. Essential skills and experience: Able to work in a fast‑paced, self‑directed environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Decision‑making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills. Ability to multi‑task activities and shift priorities. Nonessential skills and experience: Refinery experience. Reporting to this position: No direct reports. Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures. Industrial lighting provided. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal but can be greater when using equipment.
