Locums Pediatric Hospitalist, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Position:

• Locum Tenens
• Part-Time
• Start Date: December 7, 2026
• Approximately 7 shifts/month
• General Pediatric Floor coverage
• Day and night coverage needed, with particular need for nights
• Candidates interested in night-only coverage will be considered
• No call
• Physician will work solo

Schedule & Shifts:

• Day: 7:00 AM7:00 PM
• General Pediatrics floor
• Night: 7:00 PM7:00 AM
• General Pediatrics + Newborn
• 24-hour shifts are generally avoided but may be considered on some days
• Multiple consecutive 24-hour shifts are not permitted

Licensure:

• Pennsylvania medical license required to apply
• IMLC candidates accepted
• DEA required

Board Certification:

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible

Certifications:

• ACLS required
• BLS required
• PALS required

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years experience

Practice Details:

• Day coverage: General Pediatric Floor
• Night coverage: General Pediatrics and Newborn
• Consults in the ED
• No delivery attendance required
• No circumcision required
• Epic EMR

Patient Volume:

• Day shift: Approximately 7 pediatric floor patients, plus ED consults
• Night shift: Coverage of General Pediatrics, Newborn, and ED consults

Typical Cases:

• Asthma
• Seizures
• Gastroenteritis
• Pneumonia

Procedures:

• Lumbar punctures

• Pediatric Critical Care
• Pediatric Surgery
• Pediatric Gastroenterology
• Pediatric Neurology
• Pediatric Endocrinology
• Pediatric ENT
• Pediatric Cardiology
