Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst

Description Northrop Grumman Aeronautics System (NGAS) seeks a Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3) in Palmdale, CA to support the Cost Management organization. This position is on‑site daily. Responsibilities Interface with program managers, functional management, and cost account managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis to meet program requirements. Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to multiple contracts for control accounts within an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT). Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures, objective performance criteria, and estimates to complete. Support internal and external reporting for variance analysis, budget baselines, funding analysis, cost risk analysis, and visibility reports. Prepare government cost performance reports and perform performance measurement variance analysis. EVM Tasks Establish Work Breakdown Structure for execution of budgeted cost of work scheduled. Maintain objective performance criteria and justify estimates to complete. Support variance analysis and preparation of government reports. Develop and analyze estimates to complete. Traits & Abilities Use financial systems and understand EVMS principles; conduct cost performance reporting and analysis. Develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity. Analyze variances and trends; develop new methods and processes. Work under general supervision, manage multiple assignments, and elevate issues to ensure proper management focus. Influence peers and internal customers; represent the group on special projects outside of own group. Program Control Analyst Duties Support development of budget baselines, cost/schedule integration, and preparation of budgets, schedules, ETC/EAC. Assist with financial performance analyses, visibility reporting, and monthly CDRL submissions such as IPMR. Support variance analysis reports and program monthly rhythm processes. Incorporate baseline changes into EVM system while utilizing Cobra, SAP S4, OLAP, wInsight, MS Excel/Project/Powerpoint. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, and/or industry related field OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government clearance and program access within a reasonable period. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Government Earned Value Management in a monthly rhythm. Financial forecasting experience with EVMS or government cost reporting. Salary Primary level salary range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00.
