At Red Oak Management Co. Inc. , we're on a mission to provide quality, affordable housing to residents throughout Michigan. Our driven team is hiring a part-time Building Security Monitor to help control the flow of people in and out of our Muskegon, MI building.

We're offering competitive pay of $14.00 - $16.00/hour . Specific shifts can vary depending on business needs. You'll work part-time between the hours of 4:00 pm and 8:00 am, Tuesday through Friday (shifts typically last 6 hours), and anytime Saturday through Monday. There may be potential to work more hours if you'd like! Ideally, we would prefer a candidate who can work some overnights and at least two weekends per month.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Our friendly Building Security Monitors keep unauthorized people out of the building and help uphold a safe, comfortable living environment! Reviewing monitors, you'll keep an eye on the building and identify who is trying to enter. You'll buzz in residents and staff members as well as sign in any residents' guests, community members meeting with the Muskegon Housing Commission, and prospective future residents. When signing in non-residents, you'll check IDs to verify that banned visitors do not enter the building, calling the police if needed to remove trespassers. Your focus on safety, reliability, and customer service will help protect residents' peace of mind!

ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT?

Our ideal Building Security Monitor has:

• Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Ability to kindly yet firmly enforce rules and prevent unauthorized persons from entering
• Availability to work some overnight shifts and at least two weekends per month
• Customer service experience - preferred
• Experience in a security or doorman position - preferred

This is NOT a security officer position where you're carrying a weapon or expected to physically remove people from the building. If anyone is trespassing, you will call the police to have them handle the situation.
