Description:

The DOR Specialist is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the rehab team for the successful clinical and operational management of facilities supported. The DOR Specialist reports to the Director of Quality Improvement & Education.

Key Results Area

• Provide DOR leadership and coverage for 3+ facilities

• Responsible for all items on the DOR checklist per established deadlines

• Effectively and professionally communicate information to the rehab point person/rehab team within four business hours

• Escalate barriers to patient care due to staffing immediately to the Regional Operations Director/Talent Acquisition/Ops leadership chain

• Maintain CMI/Long-term tracker to address all screens 2 weeks before the scheduled ARD effectively

• Lead Weekly Rehab meeting to manage therapy caseload and update IDT clinically

• Actively participate in all pertinent facility meetings

• Host and lead a weekly collaboration call with the Regional Operations Director

• Responsible for achieving Key Performance Indicators within 2 weeks for each rehab department covered

• Deliver weekly communication and management of metrics, staffing, clinical outcomes, and other relevant items to facility administration and Operations every Friday before end of day

• Confirm email receipt within four business hours and follow up by the established deadline

• Notify the Regional Operations Director regarding any team member’s performance concerns within 24 hours

• Actively participate and contribute during weekly team meetings

• Responsible for submitting hours for coverage provided per facility per established process

• Evaluate and assess personal performance on a routine basis

• 5+ years’ experience in long-term care and skilled nursing in a Rehab Director or Area/Regional Director role

• Advanced understanding of operations, as well as clinical training methods and industry best practices

• Independent and self-motivated

• Innovative and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and organizational skills

• Strong proactive written and verbal communication supporting client satisfaction and retention

• Solid collaborative skills with team and clients, with the ability to work remotely and autonomously

• Strong time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment

• Demonstrate discretion, sensitivity, and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR, with the aptitude to learn new programs
