FOOD SERVICE WORKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Job Summary Food Service Worker responsible for prep, service, and maintenance of food service areas in Jacksonville, Florida. Location: Duval County Public Schools – 2924 Knights Lane East, Building 5, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Schedule: Full‑time or part‑time, Monday‑Friday; hours vary. Fixed pay $14.25 per hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform prep work (washing, peeling, cutting, seeding fruits and vegetables). Weigh and measure ingredients as directed. Move pans, kettles, trays, and supplies between stations, stove, refrigerator, and service counters in accordance with safety standards. Store food in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, food‑safety, and rotation procedures. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils. Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment. Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control. Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisors. Ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures. Comply with all sanitation and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous cashier, food service, or customer service experience required. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Effective communication and team‑work skills. Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
