Details PCU/Stepdown unit within a teaching hospital setting Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Float required within the OSU hospital system Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Must be able to pass a telemetry competency test Experience monitoring telemetry patients required Teaching hospital experience preferred Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN reference is acceptable for the second; coworker references not accepted Additional Information Provide nursing care for stepdown/PCU patients requiring cardiac monitoring and telemetry Skills utilized may include IV therapy, central and PICC line management, blood product administration, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias Experience with wound care, insulin drip titration, and non-invasive airway management may be required Participate in rapid response and code team activations as needed First-time travelers are welcome to apply Locals accepted at the same pay rate RTO must be submitted with the initial application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Former employees are eligible to return as travelers after being away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible for travel assignments Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing their contract due to strict credentialing timelines American Traveler Job ID P-749159.
