Job Description

• Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of commercial interior construction projects.
• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control activities.
• Review and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and procurement logs.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, and ownership teams.
• Attend project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and documentation.
• Monitor project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Assist with contract administration and project closeout procedures.
• Conduct site visits to track progress, identify issues, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Help manage project financials, including buyouts, forecasting, and invoicing.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

• 2-5+ years of experience in construction project management or project engineering.
• Experience working on commercial interior projects including office, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or corporate fit-outs.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced New York construction environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Eagerness to learn and progress into a Project Manager role.
