Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
This role involves providing specialized support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, assisting with a variety of cardiology procedures to ensure patient safety and procedural success. The technologist collaborates closely with physicians throughout all phases of the procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and pre-procedure patients for cardiac catheterizations, PCI (STEMI), and other interventional procedures.
• Monitor, document, and analyze hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Assist physicians intra-operatively, providing procedural support and managing access sites.
• Ensure all procedural protocols are followed, including on-call procedures and patient preparation.
• Adhere to safety standards and institutional policies throughout the clinical process.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status and procedure progress.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Licensed Radiologic Technologist credential.
• Possess RCIS certification (preferred).
• Be experienced with BLS, ACLS, and IABP in the context of catheterization labs.
• Demonstrate prior experience in a cardiac cath lab setting.
• Be capable of preparing patients and assisting with diverse cardiology procedures.
• Hold a High School Diploma or GED.
