Senior Developer

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Sage Intacct Developer to support the implementation, customization, and ongoing optimization of Sage Intacct within our organization. This role will play a key part in enabling finance processes and ensuring the platform is configured and enhanced to meet evolving business needs.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced, hands-on Sage professional who understands the platform deeply, can work independently, and is comfortable owning technical development, integrations, and customizations end-to-end. This is an active position. Candidates should ideally be available to work with overlap until 1:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) to support collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and optimize the Sage Intacct platform to support finance and operational processes.
• Design, configure, and implement customizations, workflows, and enhancements within Sage Intacct.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions.
• Support and advise on integrations between Sage Intacct and external platforms, including a planned integration with Salesforce.
• Collaborate with technical teams and external vendors to ensure successful system connectivity and data flow.
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
• Recommend best practices for system architecture, scalability, and process improvements within Sage Intacct.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with Sage Intacct, with deep expertise in platform capabilities, architecture, and customization.
• Demonstrated expertise with Sage Intacct platform automation and extensibility, including Sage Triggers, Smart Integration (Smart Rules/Smart Events), and building custom integrations (API- and/or middleware-based) to support end-to-end business processes.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting complex Sage Intacct customizations.
• Proven ability to work independently and drive technical solutions with minimal oversight.
• Experience integrating Sage Intacct with enterprise systems using APIs and middleware.
• Strong experience with Sage Intacct APIs, XML, REST/SOAP web services, and system integrations.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and SQL for automation, reporting, troubleshooting, and data handling.
• Strong understanding of finance/accounting workflows and how Sage Intacct supports business processes.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing enterprise financial systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience integrating Salesforce with Sage Intacct or working alongside Salesforce teams.
• Experience with C#/.NET, Java, or similar technologies for enterprise integrations is preferred.
• Experience integrating Sage Intacct with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, finance, or operational tools).
• Experience working in consulting, implementation, or fast-paced growth environments.
