Job Title Materials Management Coordinator Location Austin, TX Purpose The Materials Management Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the supply chain logistics of materials within the healthcare system, ensuring timely procurement, storage, and distribution of supplies. This role coordinates with various departments to meet their material needs, maintains inventory accuracy, and optimizes supply chain processes. Responsibilities Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and overstock. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Review and process purchase orders and requisitions. Communicate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing. Participate in the distribution of materials to various departments. Ensure efficient and timely delivery of supplies. Coordinate with internal teams to optimize delivery schedules. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions. Update inventory databases to ensure adequate material supply. Generate reports on inventory status and usage patterns. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Implement and enforce safety protocols for material handling. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED At least 2 year(s) of experience in materials management, inventory control, supply chain, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field At least 3 year(s) of experience in materials management, with at least 1 year in a healthcare setting. Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) Salary Range $40,000 + depending on qualifications Working Environment / Equipment Standard office equipment Repetitive use of a keyboard May be exposed to such occupational hazards as communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, hazardous medications and disoriented or combative patients, or others.
