Shipping Clerk

Shipping ClerkPrimary Staffing is hiring a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to support outbound warehouse and shipping operations for a growing logistics company. This position is responsible for coordinating outbound appointments, driver check-ins, dock assignments, shipment releases, and shipping documentation. The Shipping Clerk will also communicate with drivers and warehouse personnel to help ensure shipments are loaded accurately and leave the facility on schedule. As operations continue to expand, employees may temporarily be scheduled at both the Bolingbrook and Joliet facilities based on business needs. Reliable transportation between both locations is required.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate outbound appointments, driver check-ins, and dock assignments.Support shipment release and outbound warehouse operations.Prepare, print, and verify shipping documents and required paperwork.Prepare pick lists, pallet labels, and bills of lading (BOL).Verify freight, pallet quantities, destinations, and trailer information before shipment.Communicate loading priorities and changes with drivers, forklift operators, and floor supervisors.Update shipment and pickup status in warehouse systems.Report shortages, incorrect freight, missed pickups, and loading issues.Maintain accurate and complete outbound records.Verify and maintain proof of shipment documentation.RequirementsEnglish proficiency required.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Comfortable working with shipping documents and warehouse systems.Good communication and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and warehouse personnel.Able to follow shipping procedures, priorities, and instructions.Reliable transportation between Bolingbrook and Joliet required.Available Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed.Yellow safety vest required.Schedule & PayMonday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Saturday: As needed Pay: $18.00 – $21.00/hour Position: Temp-to-HireLocations: Bolingbrook & Joliet, ILIndustry: Third-Party Logistics (3PL) / Freight Forwarding Apply Today!
