Why Join Us? * Work with state-of-the-art batching technology * Competitive pay and benefits * Opportunities for career growth and advancement * Supportive team culture focused on safety and respect Key Responsibilities * Ensure accurate batching of concrete by verifying admixtures and dosages, meeting company and customer specifications every time * Adjust batching weights and quantities to maintain quality standards * Champion a safe work environment for yourself and your team, following all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations * Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as required * Collaborate with the Foreperson and team to achieve project goals and daily expectations * Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in all interactions * Maintain reliable, on-time attendance to keep operations running smoothly Qualifications * High school diploma or GED required * Prior experience as a Batch Plant Operator preferred * Strong understanding of concrete mix designs and components Essential Skills & Requirements * Verify each load for volume, mix, additives, and all relevant quality data * Operate batching and plant equipment safely and efficiently * Receive, inspect, and manage raw material inventories * Maintain accurate records and logs * Oversee cleaning and basic maintenance of the central mix plant * Monitor plant inventories (cement, flyash, admixtures) * Proficient in computer batching systems * Identify problems, collect data, and communicate effectively with supervisors * Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues * Strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies * Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel as needed * Team player willing to assist with additional duties as required Preferred Knowledge & Skills * Basic operation of skid steer/BobCat equipment * Experience with hand tools and general equipment maintenance Physical & Work Environment Requirements * Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility. * Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height. * Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed. * Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions. * Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments. * Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely. * Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
