We have an opening for a Patient Services Representative (PSR) III at Cherry Hill OB/GYN. Hours: 40 hours/week - Office Hours: Mon-Wed: 8a-8p; Thu/Fri: 8a-4p - flexibility to work one evening shift/week is required. Location(s): Mt. Laurel, NJ, Turnersville, NJ and Hammonton, NJ Patient Service Representative III (PSR III) The Patient Service Representative III (PSR III) plays a vital role in delivering a seamless and positive experience for all patients at Axia Women’s Health. Serving as both the initial and final point of contact for in-office visitors and incoming callers, the PSR III is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of front-desk responsibilities. This includes scheduling and modifying appointments, responding to patient inquiries, and supporting daily administrative workflows. The PSR III ensures that each patient interaction reflects Axia’s commitment to quality, compassion, and efficiency. Essential Functions Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance and directing them to the appropriate waiting area. Notify appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room. Promptly and professionally route phone calls via direct transfer, paging, voicemail, or redirect as needed. Retrieve and appropriately route any messages from the answering service. Courteously screen solicitors for relevance to organizational needs. Perform registration functions for new or existing patients and activate patient files. Effectively collect and record copayments as required. Collect and distribute mail accurately and in a timely manner to designated recipients within the care center. Offer comprehensive financial support to patients and colleagues regarding complex claim and billing inquiries. Demonstrate a strong understanding of insurance and billing claims to accurately interpret information and execute void transactions when required. Review and verify patient insurance coverage to determine eligibility and provide comprehensive communication regarding any applicable benefit limitations. Ensure accurate and efficient chart completion, including scanning records, organizing inbound faxes, and generating related reports and claims as needed. Assist with scheduling patient appointments and follow-up visits. Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of patient encounters. Demonstrate appropriate chaperone technique and documentation, when necessary. Provide additional support to patients and medical staff as needed. Address and resolve low-level patient grievances professionally using company policies, while also acting as a liaison to elevate and facilitate resolution of issues with management. Work collaboratively with clinical colleagues, management, and other staff to ensure efficient practice operations. Oversee the orientation and training of new PSRs, ensuring they are familiar with care center protocols and procedures. Ensure compliance with all Standard Operation Procedures (SOP's) and policies (including HIPAA & OSHA). Adhere to practice policies, procedures, and protocols. Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Lead by example in embodying the organization's mission, vision, and values. Mentor and guide junior staff in ethical practices and professional behavior. Take a proactive role in fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence, ensuring all colleagues are aligned with and committed to the organization's long-term vision and objectives. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients. Demonstrate time management skills by efficiently prioritizing tasks and patients simultaneously. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Highly adaptable and willing to adjust to changing priorities and conditions. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite locations, where applicable, as needed. Experience And Education High School diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of experience as Medical Receptionist / PSR OB/GYN or Women's Health experience preferred, but not required.
