Title Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor, Clinical – Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist Employee Type Faculty Department Pediatrics Campus Location CHILDRENS Job Summary The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans is recruiting a cardiac intensivist to join a team based in the Cardiac ICU and Heart Center at Manning Family Children’s. The role is a full‑time faculty position (Assistant, Associate Professor, or Professor level, non‑tenure, clinical track). The faculty member will serve as attending physician responsible for the care of critically ill pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patients, working collaboratively with other faculty, cardiothoracic surgery, CICU advanced practice providers, and specialists. Clinical service time will be commensurate with Division needs and includes in‑house night coverage. The position also entails a commitment to teaching physician trainees, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other staff, and participation in university and hospital‑driven educational and quality improvement activities. The candidate is strongly encouraged to pursue basic science or clinical research interests. Responsibilities Provide patient care for critically ill pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patients in the Cardiac ICU, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, conduct in‑house night coverage, teach trainees and staff, participate in quality improvement and clinical research, and contribute to university and hospital educational activities.
