Intervention Specialist

Location: Columbus, OH Area Position Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Contract Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week Empower Students. Inspire Growth. Make a Difference. Birch Agency is seeking a passionate and dedicated Intervention Specialist to support elementary and middle school students in the Columbus, Ohio area. What You\'ll Do Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student success. Provide specialized instruction and individualized interventions to help students achieve academic and social-emotional goals. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, specialists, and families to create a supportive learning environment. Adapt instructional strategies, curriculum, and materials to meet the diverse needs of students. Assess student progress and use data to adjust instruction and intervention plans. Support students in developing independence, confidence, and positive learning skills. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education requirements. What You Bring Experience working as an Intervention Specialist, Special Education Teacher, or in a related role. Strong understanding of child development, instructional strategies, and special education practices. Ability to create positive relationships with students and provide effective support. Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Patient, dependable, adaptable, and student-focused approach. Ability to help students navigate academic, behavioral, and social challenges. Qualifications Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license/certification. Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with classroom safety and sanitation guidelines. Why Birch Agency?
