Our organization in Freeport, Illinois is actively looking for a Full-Time, Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to become part of our skilled Hospitalist team at a local hospital.

We are particularly interested in an experienced hospitalist who is adept at handling a diverse range of inpatient cases and is eager to contribute to quality improvement and growth initiatives within a community-oriented healthcare setting.

Position Overview:

• Full-Time Employment
• 7 days on / 7 days off Schedule
• 12-hour shifts
• Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
• Night Shift opportunities available with additional compensation
• Includes weekend and holiday shifts
• Transitioning EMR to EPIC
• Current E-ICU support model, moving towards enhanced in-house coverage

Departmental Responsibilities:

Hospitalists are responsible for managing a variety of inpatient cases, including:

• Acute medical admissions
• Exacerbations of chronic diseases
• Post-surgical medical care
• Care coordination and discharge planning
• Collaboration with primary care and specialty providers

We emphasize strong collaboration across our network in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.

Qualifications Needed:

• MD/DO Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible
• Training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Inpatient experience is highly preferred
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Salary for Day Shift: $345,000

Additional compensation available for Night Shift work.
