Operational Risk Manager

The candidate will be part of the Global Operational Risk Management team, based in New York, supporting Operational Risk coverage in the U.S. region and serving as the primary second-line Operational Risk lead for Technology Risk globally, in accordance with the firm's Operational Risk Policy. Key Responsibilities: Establishing and implementing the Operational risk framework and processes in line with firm-wide Operational Risk appetite framework and Global Operational Risk Management Policy As part of the U.S. Operational Risk team, managing Operational Risk events in the U.S. region and support significant events in other regions as needed, including event investigation, root cause analysis, control gap assessment, remediation tracking, and escalation of material risks. Acting as the primary second-line Operational Risk lead for Technology Risk globally, partnering closely with Technology IT Risk, Information Security, Vendor Risk, and other stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate technology-related operational risks, including technology and cyber risk events, operational resiliency, change management, and third-party technology risk management. Lead Operational Risk deep dives, thematic reviews, scenario analysis, and control enhancement initiatives, with a particular focus on technology risk, significant operational risk events, and emerging risk themes. Managing the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, with the focus on Technology Risk and key U.S. business and functional areas. Monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk metrics to identify emerging operational and technology risks and support timely escalation. Coordinating monthly and quarterly Operational Risk reporting, including risk trends, significant event review, thematic analysis and management reporting. Providing training on the Operational Risk Management Process to relevant stakeholders. Experience and Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Operational Risk, Front Office Control, Audit, Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, or a related risk and control function within a financial services environment. Strong understanding of technology risk frameworks and associated risk domains, including application and infrastructure risk, operational resiliency, SDLC and change management, cyber risk, incident management, and third-party technology risk. Experience managing operational risk events, conducting root cause analysis, identifying control gaps, and driving remediation and control enhancement initiatives. Experience leading or facilitating Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), scenario analysis, risk assessments, and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) monitoring. Relevant understanding of equities, electronic trading, algorithmic trading, and supporting technology environments is preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently assess complex risk issues, manage multiple priorities, and deliver practical, risk-based recommendations in a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of building strong relationships across Technology, IT Risk, Information Security, Vendor Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders, with the ability to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders and senior risk management.
