Front Desk / Host

Position Overview Our front desk and host position ensures guests’ initial impressions with Dave & Buster’s are positive and welcoming. The front desk/host positions require a strong communicator who will guide guests through their retail, game rental and dining experiences. Responsibilities Greet guests with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. Coordinate game rentals, merchandise sales, and manage the telephone system. Maintain a stocked front desk and host station with menus, silverware, Power cards, gift cards, etc. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the front desk area. Notify supervisors of any problems or unusual matters and suggest corrective actions. Conduct merchandise inventory during and after shift, when applicable. Assist other team members as needed or as business dictates. Drive table‑turn timing by scouting open tables, bussing, and cleaning tables. Manage seating and traffic flow from the front doors, directing guests efficiently. Control wait times and communicate information to guests, team members, and managers. Handle bill transactions accurately and resolve any discrepancies. Process “To Go” orders and front‑desk merchandise sales. Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress guidelines. Qualifications & Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age. Strong verbal communication skills in English. Friendly, professional demeanor with a frequent smile. Experience in restaurants, retail, or cashier roles preferred but not required. Ability to read, write handwritten notes, and handle monetary transactions. Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as required. Physical Demands Stand, walk, or perform orientation tasks 100% of shift. Lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Salary Salary range: $13.73 - $17.25 per hour.
