Culinary Assistant

Job Overview Ebenezer Senior Care & Living is looking for a Culinary Assistant to join our senior living culinary team at Willows Bend in Fridley, MN. This position is responsible for dining room and to-go meal service to residents. Schedule: 28 hours every two weeks, part time, early evening shifts (4 PM - 7:30 PM) including every other weekend and holiday rotation. Responsibilities Serve meals and ensure that the dining area is clean and inviting. Follow meal serving schedule and procedures. Offer resident meal choices and meet resident's specific dietary needs. Use proper safety and sanitation techniques. Follow dining room cleaning schedule and procedures. Follow proper procedures for dining room set‑up. Follow proper workflow to stay on task. Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant‑style service. Ensure all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift. Promote and encourage positive resident relations and satisfaction. Welcome residents and initiate conversation. Accommodate resident requests such as food substitution or seating changes. Listen to complaints and respond appropriately; refer issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as necessary. Required Qualifications Less than 1 year of previous experience. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma. 1 year of previous experience.
