Job Overview Opened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This senior living community features 133 independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments. Two buildings make up this vibrant community and also encompass an on‑site intergenerational child‑care center. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator. The Culinary Assistant is responsible for dining room and to‑go meal service to residents. Nutrition Services Schedule 24 hours every two weeks; Part time 4pm-7pm shift Every other weekend rotation Responsibilities Serve meals and ensure the dining area is clean and inviting: Follow meal serving schedule and procedures. Offer resident meal choices and meet resident’s specific dietary needs. Use proper safety and sanitation techniques. Follow dining room cleaning schedule and procedures. Follow proper procedures for dining room set‑up. Follow proper workflow to stay on task. Learn and become proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service. Ensure all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift. Promote and encourage positive resident relations and satisfaction: Welcome residents and initiate conversation. Accommodate resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc. Listen to any complaints and respond appropriately. Refer issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
