This leadership role is located Rando Bernardo, CA.Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Determine customer needs and develop approaches, implementations, components, interfaces, identify standards and constraints, civil requirements, and security needsSurvey the industry for awareness of customer needs and alternative systemsLead trade studies, technology development, and subcontractor teamsLead technical and cost proposalsWrite white papers describing offerings and provide leadership and/or direction to software integration, test leads, and various engineering teamsOnce in role, this position could offer a hybrid work environment. Scheduled telework days are approved at manager's discretion. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the timeBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of related engineering experience.Must have experience working with aerospace Ground System architecturesMust have a minimum of 6 years of experience in hardware design, hardware architecture, or systems engineering rolesMust have demonstrated experience creating and maintaining, and releasing engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and product definition documentationMust have experience with configuration management and engineering change processes, including document revision control and release workflowsMust have proven ability to develop and maintain architecture documentation, including system-level diagrams, interface definitions, and technical baselinesMust have experience using PLM/PDM systems for drawing management, document control, and product release activitiesMust have strong understanding of product lifecycle management, configuration control, and design documentation best practicesMust have the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management teams to ensure accurate product definition and releaseYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the CompanyPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of, or experience with, common ground approaches, implementations, components, standards, interfaces, constraints, and security needsWorking knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, software and hardware integrationExperience with tools such as CAD, ECAD, PLM, and ERP systems supporting product release and lifecycle managementExperience with Agile development and JIRAExperience writing and presenting technical information to customers and internal management audienceExperience with Cyber Security requirements and/or implementationExperience in initial design, review, and the approval process and implementation thereof said design cradle to graveExperience in Team Center, the Team Center release process, CATIA and CAD drawingExperience with supplier subcontractors and supplier SOWsPrimary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
