Science can be a universal language. Historically seen as a high-level academic subject, science helps people understand the world around them and themselves. In order to do that, we need to meet people where they’re at. If you’re invested in accessible science communication, we have a job for you. We’re looking for a staff writer to help shape the content for our SciShow channels and projects. In this role, you’ll be researching, writing, and revising video scripts that are clear, accurate, and compelling. Most scripts are around 2000 words; the goal is the same: engage with people’s curiosity, tell an interesting story, and make sure it’s factually accurate so we can inspire learning. You should be able to juggle multiple ongoing projects at once, meet deadlines, and research a variety of topics. Being a strong communicator is essential to convey topics to a broad audience and work cohesively with your team.
