About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 12 Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: - Telemetry MS Unit experience - IV skills required License: - Current RN License Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred Must-Have: - Experience in the care of patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal issues, and substance abuse - Familiarity with managing medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders Description: The position is for a 13-week contract. The role requires working 36 hours per week. Weekends are required every other week. Holidays are expected every other week and as needed. The patient population includes those with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal issues, and substance abuse disorders. The unit has 38 beds. The RN to patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) to patient ratio is 1:10. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
