Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized surgical technology support in a busy operating room environment, assisting with a variety of high-acuity procedures across multiple specialties. Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety protocols throughout surgical cases.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Assist surgical teams by passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies during operations.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols to prevent contamination.
• Support patient safety by accurately documenting procedural details and handling specimens as required.
• Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support coverage as needed during evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience assisting in diverse surgical procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Knowledge of operating room standards, sterile techniques, and surgical instrumentation.
• Ability to rotate through various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration.
