RN - Cath Lab

Registered Nurse Cath LabThis position involves working in a Cath Lab setting. Nurses will focus on care for adults and geriatric patients. The daily census includes scheduled cases, with averages ranging from 3 to 9 cases. Nurses will perform procedures such as left heart catheterizations and right heart catheterizations. The unit handles various patient diagnoses, including ST elevated MIs and non-ST elevated MIs. Medications such as nitroglycerin, epinephrine, and thrombolytics will be used. Special equipment will include hemodynamic monitoring systems and intra-aortic balloon pumps. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and pharmacy. On-call responsibilities will be based on unit needs.
